I have kept up a personal blog for years but up until recently it has been more of an online diary/dumping ground for all my innermost thoughts and frustrations. Lately I’ve been feeling the need to be more focused and start writing about something I love… beer.

The problem I kept running into was that there are already a plethora of beer related blogs out there on topics ranging from the best craft brews to home brewing techniques. I finally realized one day that there really aren’t any blogs celebrating the craft beer tradition in Oregon. It seemed a shame, really, especially given that I live in Portland, Oregon where the typical beverages of choice are beer and coffee. Thus Oregon Beer Guy was born.
